Poster Printing

Poster Printer Instructions - Updated Nov 13, 2018

I'll be working on improving a bit of quirky behavior...

The EPS/EEB poster printer is located in room A170 E&MS Building and is available for EPS and EEB department members.

The cost for poster printing is $2 per linear foot and will be periodically billed by the EPS department.

The printer uses a 100 ft. long roll of 42 inch wide paper, so one of the dimensions of your poster should not exceed 41 inches due to margins.

Log into the ‘epsuser’ account on the Macintosh Computer in A170.

The old poster printing accounts aren’t currently valid, so please make a new account.
  • Double-click on the ‘PaperCut New User’ icon on the desktop in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  • The PaperCut login webpage should appear in a browser
  • Click on the link at the bottom that says ‘Guests click here to register’.
  • ONLY make accounts in the name of PIs, because the E&PS Department will need to bill for it later.
  • Please fill out the form and click ‘Register’
  • You will get an email asking you to verify your account. You can ignore it.

Click on the PaperCut icon in the Dock at the bottom of the screen
  • It looks like a green square.
  • You might get asked for your new username and password, depending on if you are already logged into the network.
  • Use your username and password to login if necessary.

Print your poster as you normally would. Use printer ‘epsposter.pmc.ucsc.edu’

  • A window should pop-up asking for your username and password again.
  • Please enter it.

Your poster should start printing.

When done with printing on your account, right-click on the dollar amount in the small green window in the upper-right corner of the screen. Choose 'logout' from the menu.
