Learning Support Services
- UCSC’s hub for tutoring services, peer academic success coaching, and study halls for math & writing- all free, all included in your tuition!
ACE (Academic Excellence)
- Academic support program dedicated to increasing the diversity of UCSC students earning bachelors’ degrees in STEM through engaging students in active learning, peer mentoring, skill-building, and community development.

Colleges Advising
- College advisors are generalist advisors. They can help students understand campus-wide requirements such as general education, academic progress, and time-to-degree policies. They can also help students identify majors that may be a good fit for them. Each of UCSC’s 10 colleges has a College Advising team.
Science Division Funding & Research Database
- Looking for grants and scholarships, internships, or research projects to get involved in? UC Santa Cruz Science offers immersive student research experiences almost anywhere you can imagine—beneath the oceans, across deep space, into the fabric of life, and beyond.
GEODES
- GEODES is a graduate-student-run organization at the University of California, Santa Cruz that works to promote an inclusive, accessible, and equitable Earth and Planetary science community. We aim to support undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, researchers, staff, and faculty in this field!

Financial Aid Resources
- The UCSC Financial Aid team is committed to minimizing financial barriers to support students in achieving their educational goals. Please contact them regarding any questions surrounding your aid including: extending enrollment, appeals, and funding for study abroad programs.
Department Awards
- The department has a number of endowments that support scholarships and awards for our undergraduate students. A call for applications is sent out in Fall quarter.
Pathways to Science
- Find opportunities through private and federal funders for students pursuing an education in STEM.
